Motion Educators Conference Stop Motion Workshop

This workshop had over 40 participants. Most of the participants were higher education educators. A few were industry professionals. This workshop called “Creating Community Through Stop Motion Animation” focused on tools and techniques used in community building. Animation techniques include: ideation, material manipulation, storyboarding, group think and animation techniques. The workshop was designed to show the participants

how community collaboration can encourage meaningful dialogue It took place in 2017 at the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. MODE is an international gathering of educators, students, and practitioners who specialize in the field of motion design. Hosted at Ohio State, the MODE Summit 2017 was a conference designed to encourage an exchange of ideas on how motion design will continue to impact brand building, interface, and interaction design, data visualization, TV and film title design, and visual storytelling. Through a series of presentations and discussions, attendees help shape the professional, theoretical, and educational aspects of this growing profession.
